What you'll do:

• Perform machinist work as assigned.
• Perform all other shop work as assigned.
• Assist in changeovers and overhauls of all equipment as assigned.
• Emergency repairs plant equipment.
• Assist in cable splicing, plumbing, painting of shop and equipment, carpentry, and other related work as assigned.

We need you to have:

• Ability to read and use hand tools associated with the trade.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings and/or sketches.
• Must be capable of operating standard machine shop equipment, do layout work, make setups, able to do gas and arc welding and all other related operations within the required tolerances.
• Knowledge of shop math necessary to perform the required work assignments within the scope of this job.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• Must meet prerequisite job-related test scores.
• Must have a machinist apprenticeship of four years or its equivalent.
• Able to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening.
