What you will do

The Product Manager II - Lab Exhaust will identify products that will increase revenue for PennBarry. He/She will conduct market research, generate product requirements, and develop marketing strategies for these products including software requirements. The successful candidate will determine product specifications, production timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction. After product launch, The Product Manager will analyze product performance in the market.

How you will do it

  • Understand the customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.

  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies.

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and definitions.

  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.

  • Work closely with engineering to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.

  • Drive product launches including working with sales, marketing, application engineering and programming.

  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

  • Represent the Company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on our products and services.

What we look for
Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 7-10+ years in air moving or control equipment design and development (specifically fans and blowers).

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

  • Able to develop product and marketing strategies, and effectively communicate recommendations.

  • Able to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with marketing research.

Preferred

  • MBA with 2-3 years of product management experience.

  • Solid understanding of product cost structure and market-based pricing models.
