We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Crawfordsville, IN manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled craftsperson responsible for the installation/start-up and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing, as well as support equipment located in the building or on the grounds-the objective being to maximize production and functional longevity and appearance of the building, grounds and equipment.

Maintenance Technician (Rates from $27.00 to $34.00)

What You'll Do:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
  • Preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Observe devices and equipment in operation and troubleshoot problems.
  • Under general supervision, performs skilled maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical and building systems.
  • May assist with installation and preparations of equipment for startup.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs.
  • Once selected for an interview, all available positions will be discussed.

What You'll Need:

  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' experience required, 3-5 years' experience preferred plus general knowledge and background in HVAC, manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems (mechanical) and/or industrial electrical systems, control wiring, control systems (electrical).
  • General operating knowledge of PLC's used in an automated manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with wire tracing and troubleshooting in control cabinets.
  • Must be able to weld, grind, use torches and drill press.

Preferred:

  • 4-6 years proven experience with PLC's familiar with Allen Bradley and Siemens Programmable Logic and control systems, reading electrical schematics, building functioning controls panels/systems (electrical). 4-6 years proven experience with manufacturing mechanical systems including; Hydraulic systems, low and high pressure pumps, open and closed loop piping systems and the ability to troubleshoot existing mechanical systems and prepare scope of work for installation of new systems (mechanical).
  • 5+ years experience plus advanced knowledge and background in HVAC, manufacturing equipment and industrial electrical systems. Technical skills needed to build, program, integrate, service, maintain and operate PLC's used in an automated manufacturing plant.
  • Certificate or license in electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, boilers, or PLC Controls.
  • Certification in Arc Flash and Hazwoper.
  • Fabrication experience is a plus.
