Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Auditor at our Columbus, Indiana location. This position is responsible for overseeing the mill audit process, plant wide process audits, mill audits, dock audits and supporting quality and new product launch functions. This role interacts with the mill operator, mill crew, and leadership.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Monitor tube mill and cutting processes.
  • Perform product audits to ensure conformity to customer specifications.
  • Conduct various tests using appropriate measurement devices.
  • Support the gathering of PPAP dimensional data.
  • Facilitate rework activities.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety, quality, and productivity are being met.
  • Read and follow work instructions to audit product per customer specifications.
  • Provide training and support to employees newly assigned to this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed to support customer requirements.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English written safety and position procedures.
  • Positive, high energy, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent attendance and safety record.
  • Pre-Employment hair drug screen required.
  • Prior automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
