The Spirit of the Position:

The Operations Manager for Nashville On-Street supports the General Manager with a complete oversight for financials and operations to ensure 24/7 professional enforcement management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Director of Operations will support the program and initiatives originating from our business plan & agreement with NDOT.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Establish and maintain rapport with Management Account client.
  • Ensuring that increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of our client.
  • Lead, direct, and develop team of employees to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives, while embodying and using LAZ Parking's culture as a guideline.
  • Screen, interview, hire, & train staff using the LAZ Way approach
  • Identifying high potential employees to support the organization's continued growth.
  • Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements that are outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and our client.
  • Ensure pre-shifts huddles are completed daily
  • Gain suitable knowledge of the Parking & Metro Code Violations
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual financial and operational reports as required.
  • Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of front-line staff and supervisors which may require compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation.
  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) with the new technology for Nashville On-Street.
  • Participate in labor contract management.
  • Communicate with local police department and emergency management teams regarding program initiatives.
  • Ensure the location is following the LAZ Audit procedures and meeting the Regional Audit goals; Future annual goals will be communicated accordingly.
  • Create weekly schedule for team using When2work application
  • Daily/weekly participation in various operational events that may or may not include after-hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Monitor and review weekly payroll compliance.
  • Manage track and analyze overtime percentage and supply GM with bi-weekly and monthly reports.
  • Implementation and completion of other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from our client.
  • Utilize Power Business Intelligence to properly track and analyze program goals and initiatives.
  • Efficiently manage all communication with answering phone calls and texts as soon as possible, returning phone calls, and replying to emails in an urgent fashion.
  • Communicate directly with GM well in advance of any requests for PTO and have an action plan in place for absence understanding that PTO must revolve around operational needs, including communication of PTO for all front-line staff and supervisors.
  • Manage Safety & Claims Initiatives and company SOPs.
  • Ensure all employees are following the proper claims procedures of documentation and communication.
  • Assist bookkeeper with revenue tracking and On-Street program compliance
  • Oversee and lead the Customer Service Department
  • Oversee employee uniform inventory and needs.
  • Attend the below team meetings at a minimum but not limited to:
    • Weekly TA Call
    • Weekly Regional Leadership Meeting
    • Monthly Audit Review
  • Report immediate employee challenges, concerns, incidents, and accidents to HR.
  • Attend one (1) New Hire Orientation monthly with HR.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Management role.
  • Must have an understanding of P&L's.
  • Ability to manage the client relationship.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving.
  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers.
  • Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Flowbird PARCS preferred
  • Power BI experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Genetec LPR preferred
  • Familiarity with Gtechna preferred
  • Parking Management experience preferred
  • Enforcement Management experience preferred
  • On-Street Meters experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.

Skills:

  • Parking management experience of multiple locations is preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
