Essential Functions:
  • Self-motivated and aptitude to work independently.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, route sheets, bill materials and engineering specifications.
  • Fill out inspection sheets based on drawings and product information.
  • Investigate customer quality complaints and returns by processing product and documenting containment activities.
  • Fill out Certificates of Conformance or other quality documentation as part of final release activities
  • Perform product inspections and testing including dimensional measurement and bubble point testing.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action development, and implementation.
  • Execute resolution activities for non-conforming material by utilizing DCI resources.
  • Support the Production Part Approval Process
  • Manage and perform calibration of standard measuring equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, and other tooling
  • Assist with ISO 9001 requirements and follow up audit activity.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all employees.
  • Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of Quality Control experience in a related field
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standard or similar regulations.
  • Knowledge of various quality techniques (statistical process control, PPAP)
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to utilize computer equipment and applications such as MS Office
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.
  • Flexibility and agility in an ever-changing environment
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts as required (i.e. 10-12 hours)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing process and inventory control practices strongly desired.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Stand and/or sit for an extended amount of time
  • Working in and/or around loud machinery
  • The ability to handle repetitive motion
