Plan-to-Build: Principal IT Solutions Analyst

Description

We are looking for a talented Plan-to-Build: Principal IT Solutions Analyst to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology our Corporate/CBS Segment in Columbus, IN or Atlanta, GA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provides comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions; works with business analysts, architects, technical experts and software vendors on the solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications.

  • Leads the analysis and evaluation of application functionality; provides recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities

  • Leads the determination and documentation of optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications; configures and verifies complex application setup and configuration

  • Remains current on emerging application and solution trends and functionality; provides functional expertise for assigned applications and systems.

  • Leads analysis of potential application solutions, identifying and recommending solutions to address functionality gaps in the application.

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with relevant vendors; works with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve difficult functionality issues

  • Partners with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts and architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs.

  • Serves as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support (as needed).

  • Leads the creation and management of functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution

  • Educates, coaches, and trains new and existing team members to improve quality and efficiency in daily process of support requests.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Solution Design - Creates and defines the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models and documentation in order to build a solution that meets buildability, business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

  • Solution Functional Fit Analysis - Composes and decomposes a system into its component parts using procedures, tools and work aides for the purpose of studying how well the component parts were designed, purchased and configured to interact holistically to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

  • Solution Modeling - Creates, designs and formulates models, diagrams and documentation using industry standards, tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

  • Solution Configuration - Configures, creates and tests a solution for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

  • Business insight - Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Significant relevant experience required. 5-7 years of experience.

  • Position can be located in either the US, UK, Mexico or India.

  • Reporting to the Planning IT Leader, the candidate will be responsible for helping to lead the IT solutions delivered by Corporate Supply Chain IT to enable our first fit sites into transformation journey.

  • The candidate will be expected to lead the design from the front and drive the correct solutions, minimizing or avoiding customizations, but when that is not possible, always ensuring what is built works across BU's and is never site specific.

  • Immediately upon joining the team, the candidate will be responsible for delivering the "Advance Planning Solutions Program". This multi-year program is in partnership with Corporate Supply Chain Solutions, Corporate Planning (Transformation and Integrated Supply Chain)function as well as the business units to deliver best in class planning solutions using i2 Demand Manager, Next Generation Planning BOM (NGPBOM), Blue Yonder sequencer, Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning.

  • Further exciting global initiatives that drive value across the business units manufacturing sites will see the candidate involved in include: Demand & Supply Planning SaaS Solutions, Blue Yonder Sequencer, multi-echelon inventory optimization, rough cut capacity planning and global inventory visibility.

  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning(Master Production Scheduling/Material Requirements planning) and WIP Job Sequencing would be key for this position while experience in Inventory, Purchasing and Work in Process would be advantageous for this position. The candidate is also expected to have a good understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

  • The candidate is expected to have strong technical skills in both Oracle application functionality, set-up/ configurations, table level knowledge as well as SQL.

  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to lead and driven solutions that involved multi-IT teams and which were both technical and complex.

  • The candidate is expected to demonstrate exemplary requirements gathering skills, capturing requirements in data flow diagrams through to use cases and the resultant test cases.

  • The candidate's communication skills both spoken and written must be strong as you will be presenting to Supply Chain and site leaders and be comfortable working in the detail as well as at a strategy and executive summary' level.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $121,000-$148,700. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
