The Spirit of the Position:
The Closure Agent documents and records all information from posted meter closures throughout the City of Chicago.

Principal Job Duties:

- Photograph City signs which close a metered parking spaces.
- Record information from City signs to determine the length and time of a closure.
- Complete a Closure form documenting all Closures discovered throughout the City.
- Verify permits provided by the City are compliant with the number of spaces obstructed.
- Measure in linear feet how much parking is affected by the closure or obstruction.
- Report any issues found as field discoveries to Central dispatch.
- Follow all LAZ Parking procedures for field operations.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

- High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

- Experience in General Labor
- General knowledge of City of Chicago streets.

Skills:

- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
- Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:

- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
