GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Finance Summer Associate will have an opportunity to work with the Finance team at EDP Renewables in Houston, TX. The Summer Associate will provide information, analyses, financial modeling, and execution support for third-party financing activities. This is a 10-week full-time and paid internship that will start on or around June 6, 2022.
Main accountabilities:
- Garner hands-on experience through relevant projects and assignments
- Bring a creative and optimistic attitude to the world of renewable energy
- Participate in Summer Intern events and volunteerism
- Learn about the U.S. energy industry and apply knowledge to various projects
- Attend weekly 'lunch and learn' department presentation meetings
- Support due diligence for third-party financing execution and restructuring, primarily tax equity and project finance transactions
- Support financial models to evaluate financing structure alternatives
- Additional duties as required
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a Master's program (MBA or Masters of Finance) pursuing a degree in Finance, Economic, or a related field
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Physical demands & working conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
